Department: Digital & CX

Reports to: Head of Digital & Customer Experience

Location: London HQ, Mayfair

Hybrid working: 3 days in office, 2 days work from home

This is a 14-month fixed term contract maternity cover, starting late October/November 2026.

Purpose:

The Ecommerce Trading Manager will have overall responsibility for trading and maximising sales conversion and profit across all digital platforms, whilst ensuring that the online proposition is on brand, commercial, customer focused and is the absolute best in class. Collecting and interpreting data from a wide range of tools and sources, you will be expected to translate the data into sales and conversion driving opportunities that all work to the aim of company sales and EBITA growth.

Responsibilities:

Product and Category Management

  • Being a key driver partner in the relationship with Merchandising to ensure we have the right stock at the right time in the right place
  • Perform full category reviews and ensure that photography and copy are of the highest quality and always support the brand objectives
  • Maintain the Ecommerce stock levels in line with sales performance, using insights to forecast and flag any additional requirements or issues to the merchandising teams
  • Ensure broken size runs are removed from the site in a timely manner
  • To project manage new season upload deliverables (copy, photography, video, merchandising schedules etc) supported with clear and regular communication
  • Liaise regularly with the Merchandising department regarding new season, new collections, sale, stock receipt
  • Communicate trading issues to direct team
  • Assist with product selection to be featured in marketing and emails based on sales and stock levels
  • Evaluate, plan and optimise merchandising around marketing campaigns, promotional activity, seasonality and changing external factors to maximise sales & profitability

Sales, conversion and customer experience

  • Deliver weekly trade activities providing the Digital Content Executive with direction on merchandising, product placement etc.
  • Working closely with the Head of Digital & Customer Experience on a sale forecast including all key metrics
  • Monitor performance against plan and suggest appropriate tactics to maximise sales
  • Develop and optimize a visual merchandising strategy for implementation across all currency websites
  • Manage the relationship with Global-e, ensure that all markets are fully optimised
  • Responsible for maximizing cross-selling opportunities across all categories of the sites ensuring our product recommendation tool is maximised always
  • Produce weekly trading reports including key KPI’s such as AOV, conversion, best sellers, traffic etc.
  • Work with relevant internal teams to optimize UX, photography, website experience
  • Develop and optimise search tactics across all currency websites
  • Work with the Senior Digital Marketing & CRM Manager to potentialize sales through all marketing channels
  • Working with the Head of Digital & Customer Experience on the continuous development of new on-site trading & merchandising tools including the functionality to support personalization, cross-selling and behavioural merchandising with a view to creating an improved user experience and ultimately maximize sale and conversion
  • Work closely with our payment provider Adyen on optimising approval rates, maximising the use of payment methods and be responsible for fraud management

Analysis and reporting

  • Being the leader in all trading and analytical discovery, planning, implementation and tracking / reporting for all digital platforms
  • Define KPIs and continuously review all reporting and analysis on conversion, engagement and success metrics
  • Analyse category performance to evaluate merchandising efforts, product sell through, and product opportunities
  • Provide insights to support the Buying & Merchandising teams to optimise conversion, sales and profit for each category. For example, reviewing and reposting responsiveness to product category performance and campaigns at certain times of the year, visitor engagement levels and online customer journey insights
  • Conduct post analyses on key marketing campaigns and key trading periods
  • Analyse and report on key customer behaviour
  • To identify new opportunities to drive website conversion

Skills and Experience Required

  • At least 4-5 years experience in an Ecommerce Trading, Merchandising, Optimisation and/or Analytics roles.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of Ecommerce business drivers
  • Experience and knowledge of trading internationally, including China
  • Strong technical background, with an understanding of user journeys
  • Excellent knowledge of web analytics (Google Analytics preferred) matched with proficient analytical ability
  • Proven experience of analysing and interpreting data in a retail environment
  • Strong project coordination and communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge MS Office
  • Luxury retail / fashion experienced preferred, but not essential
