Are you passionate about Economics and skilled at making complex concepts click for students? Up Grade Education is looking for an experienced Economics Tutor to join our team of specialists supporting students aiming for top British independent schools and leading universities.
We work with ambitious, internationally-minded families preparing for exams including GCSE/iGCSE, A-Level, IB, and other competitive entrance assessments. If you love teaching Economics and want the flexibility of remote, part-time work — we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Plan and deliver engaging one-to-one online Economics lessons
- Teach core Microeconomics and Macroeconomics concepts clearly and effectively
- Prepare students for GCSE/iGCSE, A-Level, IB, and related entrance exams
- Assess student progress and provide constructive, actionable feedback
- Adapt your teaching style to different learners and academic goals
- Communicate professionally with students and, where appropriate, their families
- Keep concise records of lessons and student outcomes

What We're Looking For
- Strong subject knowledge in Economics (Micro and Macro)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly online
- A degree in Economics or a closely related field, or equivalent professional teaching experience
- Qualified teacher status and a track record of strong results is a plus
- Prior experience tutoring GCSE/iGCSE, A-Level, IB, or similar curricula is highly beneficial
- Comfort using online teaching platforms and digital tools, with reliable internet access
- Strong organisational skills, professionalism, and a student-centred approach
