Are you an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to secure your first secondary school teaching position?

About The Role

As an ECT Teacher, you'll join a supportive secondary school committed to helping you develop into an outstanding classroom practitioner. You'll benefit from structured mentoring, a comprehensive ECT induction programme, and ongoing professional development while teaching within your chosen subject specialism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Inspire and motivate students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with Key Stage 5 opportunities available in some schools.
  • Assess, monitor, and support student progress.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with experienced colleagues, mentors, and wider school staff.
  • Fully engage with your ECT induction programme and professional development opportunities.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending QTS completion.
  • A degree and subject specialism relevant to secondary education.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Passion for inspiring young people and making a positive impact.
  • A positive, proactive, and committed approach to teaching and learning.
  • A genuine desire to develop as an outstanding teacher.
