Job Title
We are looking for an experienced consultant to undertake a short, practical review of how a midsize infrastructure business can rapidly establish an initial Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB) data baseline across its workforce and recruitment activity.
Overview
The organisation currently has limited consolidated EDIB data. We need someone who can quickly assess what information can realistically and appropriately be collected through our HR and recruitment processes, distinguish between individual-level and aggregate data, and give us a practical design that we can implement immediately.
This is a focused data, process, and feasibility assignment, leading to a wider EDIB Strategy project.
Responsibilities
- Review current and potential EDIB data collection across existing employees, new hires, direct applicants, RPO-managed recruitment, recruitment agencies, and relevant recruitment platforms.
- Assess available HRIS and recruitment CRM/ATS functionality and supplier reporting capability at a practical level.
- Identify whether data available through each route is person-specific, pseudonymised/linkable, aggregate-only, or unavailable/inappropriate to collect.
- Recommend a minimum viable voluntary EDIB dataset and associated monitoring questions.
- Identify how EDIB monitoring can appropriately be linked to recruitment stages and outcomes while remaining separate from selection decision-making.
- Recommend rapid collection methods, including pragmatic interim solutions where immediate system configuration is not possible.
- Draft appropriate employee/candidate explanatory and monitoring wording for subsequent internal privacy/legal approval.
- Identify likely limitations including non-response, incomplete coverage, small numbers, supplier variation, and non-comparability between different data sources.
- Produce a concise implementation plan and leadership readout setting out what can credibly be collected and reported now and what should follow later.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
