Pubity has built one of the largest social audiences in the world by sourcing and curating news, culture, entertainment, and the conversations shaping the internet. Now we are building an original editorial operation around that audience, with a focus on original reporting and stories that matter.
The Editor will help shape what news at Pubity looks like, from the stories we cover and originate to how we tell them across social and owned platforms. You'll develop original news stories and formats, work with sources and contributors, and help build the editorial standards and systems needed to support them.
We want someone who understands what makes people stop, care, and share, but who also brings the editorial judgment and journalistic standards to create something credible and lasting. It's an opportunity to help build a new editorial function with a huge audience from day one.
About the Role
Editorial Strategy & News Agenda
- Contribute to Pubity's editorial proposition across news, culture, entertainment, internet trends, and the stories shaping our audience's lives.
- Help shape the daily news agenda, deciding which stories matter to our audience, where Pubity has something distinctive to add, and what we should leave alone.
- Develop and apply an editorial voice and approach that makes complicated or fast-moving stories accessible, interesting, and native to the way younger audiences consume news.
- Spot emerging stories and conversations early, combining strong editorial instinct with an understanding of what travels across social platforms.
Original Reporting & Editorial Development
- Develop original reporting that moves Pubity beyond aggregation, from finding original angles and interviewing sources to breaking stories and securing exclusives.
- Develop repeatable editorial formats and franchises across explainers, interviews, recurring features, and other forms of storytelling.
- Apply the sourcing, verification, attribution, fact-checking, corrections, and editorial standards required for a credible global news operation.
- Build relationships with reporters, contributors, experts, and sources that give Pubity access to stories and perspectives others don't have.
Newsletters, Web & Owned Audience
- Contribute to the launch and development of Pubity's first flagship newsletter and/or web proposition, helping shape its editorial purpose, format, voice, and cadence.
- Create newsletter content that people actively choose to read, rather than simply another distribution channel for existing social content.
- Help turn Pubity's existing social reach into a meaningful owned audience and direct relationship with readers.
- Use learnings from the newsletter and owned platforms to help identify editorial products and opportunities that could have a life beyond social.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
