The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced journalist or editor looking to shape the editorial direction of a respected industry publication. Industry or B2B publishing experience is welcome but not essential – we're equally interested in talented editors or journalists looking to move into a specialist publishing role.

The successful candidate will:
- Write, commission and edit news and feature articles.
- Plan and deliver editorial content across the magazine and website.
- Cover industry events in the UK and overseas.
- Work closely with freelance writers, contributors, trade bodies and academic experts.
- Host and develop Fish Farmer's growing programme of webinars and podcasts (training provided).
The role also requires commercial awareness; working closely with the Commercial Manager to recognise opportunities that support Fish Farmer's wider editorial and digital platforms while maintaining editorial integrity.

About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- An excellent writer and editor with strong editorial judgement.
- Curious about the aquaculture and seafood sectors and keen to learn.
- Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple editorial projects.
- Confident building relationships across the industry.
- A full UK driving licence and passport are essential, as the role includes occasional travel to events and industry visits.
