Location: Yorkshire (with regular travel across Yorkshire and the North East) Salary: £40,000 Contract: Full-time, permanent

This is your chance to lead two titles at the UK’s leading specialist business media publisher.

Shape editorial, chair events and represent the business as the ‘face of Place’ in the busy development markets of Yorkshire and the North East of England.

As Editor, you'll set the daily news agenda, build relationships with the industry's key decision-makers, host conferences, and represent Place at networking events. You'll be just as comfortable breaking exclusive stories as you are chairing panel discussions in front of a live audience.

If you're an ambitious editor looking for a high-profile role with genuine influence, we'd love to hear from you.

About Place Media Group

Place Media Group is the UK's leading specialist business media publisher for the built environment. Founded with the launch of Place North West in 2007, we have grown to include Place Yorkshire, Place North East, and Place Midlands, creating a trusted network of regional publications serving the UK's property industry.

Our audiences rely on us for quality journalism, market intelligence and industry insight. Alongside daily news coverage, we deliver a programme of conferences, networking events and podcasts that bring together the people shaping our cities and regions.

Today, Place Yorkshire attracts more than 300,000 unique monthly readers, while Place North East reaches more than 55,000, with both audiences continuing to grow.

As an employee-owned business, we're passionate about creating an environment where talented people can thrive, develop and make a real impact.

About the role

You'll take ownership of the editorial strategy across Yorkshire and the North East, ensuring our journalism remains authoritative, insightful and relevant.

Working closely with colleagues across editorial, events, commercial and production, you'll help shape both our editorial output and our growing events programme.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
