Job Title: Editorial Assistant
Salary: £26,600 - £32,600
Location: Cambridge – Hybrid (2–3x a week in the office)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time (35 hours per week)
We are looking for a motivated Editorial Assistant to provide support for a Publisher responsible for participating in the development of the medical books publishing portfolio.

About The Role
The role is varied and includes administrative, editorial, and list management responsibilities as well as working closely with a range of people across Editorial, Content Management, Sales and Marketing, and doctors and healthcare professionals.
Additional responsibilities and accountabilities include:
- Assist Publisher in reviewing new book projects, and preparing for contracting
- Project management to include (but not limited to): manuscript briefing, delivery, project timelines and author/editor queries
- Coordinate with authors, editors, and contributors
- Oversee contracts, payments and permissions
- Represent the Publisher at occasional conferences
This position has been classified as a hybrid role, requiring the selected candidate to typically spend 40-60% of their time collaborating and connecting face-to-face at their dedicated location. Aside from our hybrid principles, other flexible working requests will be considered from the first day of employment, including other work arrangements should you require adjustments due to a disability or long-term health condition.

- Strong communication, administration and time-management skills
- Detail-orientated and highly organized
- Proactive, flexible and team-orientated
- Good IT skills, with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases and email, and the ability to learn new software
