Editorial Assistant
Reports to
Senior/Principal Editorial Coordinator
Job Summary
Working under the supervision of senior colleagues, providing high-quality editorial and administrative support across a range of client deliverables and accounts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Providing day-to-day support on all types of editorial projects
- Providing accurate and timely database management and support (Datavision, iEnvision, Veeva, etc)
- Ensuring that quality control is paramount across all materials produced by OPEN Health
- Collaborating with appropriate members of the OPEN Health team (medical & scientific, client and creative services) on a wide range of projects
- Ensuring awareness of editorial processes, such as booking and briefing of work, and estimated timelines/budgets for all job types
- Flagging potential time or budget issues and out of scope work as required to line manager
- Developing an understanding of various therapy areas and client brands
- Keeping abreast of all relevant industry guidelines
- Participating in internal status meetings, and external meetings where required
- Participating in brainstorms and internal team discussions
- Submitting accurate and timely timesheets

Experience, Skills And Qualifications
- Motivation, passion and dedication
- Educated to degree level in Life Sciences or English Language
- Very good attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to liaise and build relationships with multiple stakeholders
- Good time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Basic competency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe
- Basic database competency (e.g. Datavision, iEnvision, Veeva) desirable
- Basic understanding of the purpose/aims of healthcare marketing/communications
