The Journal of Robotics and Intelligent Systems (JRIS) Invites Editorial Board Members

JRIS is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Birmand Scientific Publishing Ltd., a UK-registered academic publisher. The journal is currently developing its international editorial and reviewer community and welcomes scholars whose research expertise aligns with robotics, intelligent systems, artificial intelligence, automation, autonomous systems, machine learning, computer vision, mechatronics, control engineering, and related disciplines.

Role and Responsibilities

Depending on expertise and availability, Editorial Board Members may:

  • Provide scholarly advice on the journal's scope and scientific development.
  • Support the maintenance of high academic and editorial standards.
  • Review manuscripts within their areas of expertise when appropriate.
  • Recommend qualified peer reviewers.
  • Advise on emerging research areas and potential journal initiatives.
  • Support principles of publication ethics, research integrity, and editorial independence.
  • Contribute to the development of JRIS's international academic community.

Editorial Board Members are not expected to handle every submission or accept every review request. Participation is based on expertise and reasonable availability.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates should normally demonstrate:

  • A PhD or equivalent academic/research qualification.
  • An active research and publication record.
  • Expertise relevant to the scope of JRIS.
  • Current or recent affiliation with a recognized university, research institution, or appropriate professional organization.
  • A verifiable scholarly profile, such as ORCID, Google Scholar, or an institutional research profile.
  • Commitment to responsible research and publication ethics.

Previous editorial or peer-review experience is desirable but is not necessarily required for every candidate.

Active members may receive formal documentation recognizing verified editorial service in accordance with the journal's recognition policy. Appointment is subject to evaluation of the candidate's academic qualifications, research activity, publication record, expertise, and alignment with the journal's scope.
