About the Role
Location: Remote based
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week across Monday to Friday from 9am – 5:30pm
Contract Length: Until 31st December 2026
The Editorial Data QA role plays a key part in supporting Barbour's re-platforming project, helping to ensure content and data are accurately migrated, validated and maintained within new systems. Working closely with Editorial, Data and Systems teams, the role focuses on reviewing content integrity, validating information against source publications and ensuring content is classified correctly within the platform.
The role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, supporting the management, organisation and quality assurance of Barbour's content library. It is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, systems and content, while contributing to a significant business transformation project.
What we're looking for
Qualifications
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
- Qualification in Business Administration, Information Management, Data Administration, English, Publishing or a related discipline (desirable).
Experience
- Administration, data processing, content administration or editorial support activities.
- Working with databases, spreadsheets or content management systems.
- Reviewing, validating or maintaining data and information to a high level of accuracy.
- Managing workloads to agreed schedules and deadlines.
- Identifying issues, investigating root causes and supporting effective resolutions.
- Performing quality assurance or checking activities against defined standards.
- Working within content, publishing, compliance or information-led environments (desirable).

What you'll be getting up to
- Support testing of new Salesforce processes to ensure data and workflow changes are functioning correctly.
- Validate migrated content against source publisher information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Upload legislation, guidance and regulatory content into the platform in line with agreed standards and processes.
- Review content to identify new, amended, superseded or replacement documents for inclusion within the service.
- Ensure content relationships and classifications are applied correctly within the content library.
- Maintain accurate data and content records within content management systems and databases.
- Review existing content to ensure information remains current, relevant and up to date.
- Work to agreed schedules and deadlines to support content publication and migration activities.
- Develop knowledge of Barbour's content, systems, publishing processes and information sources.
- Identify and resolve content, data or system issues, escalating where necessary.
- Support quality assurance activities to improve data integrity and content accuracy.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Editorial and Systems teams to support project delivery.
