Job title: Editorial Social Media Producer
Duration: 6 months
Role type: Part time
Location: Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days remote
Start: ASAP
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented part-time Editorial Social Media Producer to plan and create research and thought leadership-focused content for our clients' social media channels - beginning with the launch of a bespoke editorial newsletter.
This initiative is dedicated to exploring the societal, economic, and safety implications of AGI. You will help build and engage communities of policymakers, academic researchers, and industry executives - across brand channels.
Reporting into the Social Media and Influencer Engagement Lead, you will translate complex, technical AI research into premium, accessible digital content. You will work cross-functionally with research leads, essay authors, in-house creative and design teams, and the broader social function to drive impact and reach.
Key Responsibilities
As the Social Media & Content Producer for this initiative, you will:
- Own the newsletter lifecycle: Plan, curate, write, and publish a monthly Newsletter, maintaining a consistent and premium editorial calendar.
- Translate complex research: Unpack dense academic research, essays, and technical milestones (e.g., in biomedicine, economics, and AI governance) into clear, compelling, and accessible narratives for both the newsletter and general social posts without losing intellectual rigor.
- Drive visual storytelling: Coordinate the creation of social-first visual assets (infographics, carousel slides, short-form video snippets, and interactive polls) in partnership with GDM’s design team.
- Collaborate on campaign & paid Strategy: Partner with the broader social team to align editorial content with paid social campaigns (e.g., identifying high-performing content for Thought Leader Ads or A/B testing).
- Provide campaign support: Assist the wider social team with copywriting and asset coordination for major research launches and milestones.
- Measure & optimize: Monitor newsletter and post-performance metrics (subscribers, views, shares, read-time). Provide qualitative and quantitative insights to refine content strategy and maximize ROI.
- Guard the brand voice: Ensure all content adheres to established communication guidelines.
- Support executive amplification: Collaborate directly with GDM research leads and essay authors to optimize their personal social profiles (specifically LinkedIn) and prepare them for thought leadership amplification.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
