Expleo are recruiting for an EDS Engineer
Expleo are recruiting for an EDS Engineer to join our team, supporting our client, a major off-highway manufacturer based in Staffordshire. You will play a key role in developing innovative electrical systems for future products. Supporting the design and integration of electrical architectures, contribute to component selection, and ensure that all systems meet the demands of off-highway applications.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing high voltage electrical systems for heavy duty vehicles (12V–600V.)
- Developing 12V and 24V electrical systems for standard vehicle applications.
- Using CAD tools (Zuken E3 and Siemens NX) to define vehicle electrical wiring systems.
- Supporting the definition and development of electrical and electronic system architecture.
- Applying safety critical design principles for off highway electrical and electronic systems.
- Specifying electrical and electronic components for vehicle applications.
- Conducting testing and validation of electrical and electronic components and systems.
- Producing technical specifications, group standards, and engineering instructions.
- Carrying out system and installation reviews to established standards.
- Setting up and maintaining development and validation rigs.

Skills and Qualifications required
- HND in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Proficient in Zuken E3 and Siemens NX.
- Solid understanding of machine electrical components and harness architectures for offroad applications.
- Possess a good knowledge of relevant vehicle legislation and standards across the UK, Europe, and Rest of World.
- Experience in off highway or automotive electrical system design.
- Experience in circuit fault detection and diagnostics.
