We have a rich history of welcoming people from all over the world and are proud to be recognised as the UK’s first Borough of Sanctuary, for our work in championing the rights of refugees and migrants.

Introduction

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Lewisham Education Business Partnership (LEBP) Programme Coordinator to join our Children & Young People Directorate in Lewisham. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in connecting young people with real-world work experiences and helping shape their futures.

You will coordinate the day-to-day delivery of the Lewisham Education Business Partnership supporting schools, colleges, and employers to provide meaningful work-related learning opportunities for students aged 14–19.

Working closely with the Education Business Partnership Manager, you’ll help develop, deliver, and evaluate programmes such as work experience placements, careers fairs, and employability events. You will also deputise for the Manager when required, ensuring the smooth running of activities and services.

What’s the role?

Key Responsibilities

  • To coordinate advanced administrative functions in relation to the Lewisham Education Business Partnership in order to support the effective and efficient delivery of Council services.
  • To support the Education Business Partnership Manager in the engagement of employers for work related learning activities for students aged 14-19 including work experience and careers information, advice and guidance.

In addition, you will:

  • Coordinate the planning and delivery of work experience placements and work-related learning activities.
  • Support the development of policies, procedures, and quality standards to meet programme goals.
  • Manage administrative processes including raising purchase orders, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Supervise EBP staff and ensure smooth daily operations of the team.
  • Develop and maintain the employer engagement database, producing reports and analysis as required.
  • Build strong relationships with employers, schools (including SEND provision), and community partners to identify opportunities such as apprenticeships and career development activities.
  • Conduct employer visits and health & safety checks (IOSH training provided).
  • Deliver presentations, briefings, and assemblies to student groups on employability and work-related learning.
  • Support school-based events such as Employability Days, Careers Fairs, and Enterprise Challenges.
  • Contribute to the development of a paperless EBP strategy and ensure compliance with data protection legislation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
