Brainology – Birmingham
£100–£120 per day depending on experience

Lead a Brainology Tuition Centre Every Saturday
Brainology is looking for two experienced education leaders to take full ownership of our Saturday tuition centres in Birmingham.
We are looking for people with genuine education leadership experience — such as experienced Heads of Department, Assistant Heads, Deputy Heads, Pastoral Leaders, Curriculum Leaders, Tuition Centre Managers or senior education professionals — who are confident leading staff, maintaining high standards and taking responsibility for the experience and safety of every child in the centre.
We have one position available at each of our centres:
- Small Heath – Ark Victoria Academy
- Perry Barr – Broadway Academy
You will be the senior person onsite and the key decision-maker for the centre every Saturday.
What You'll Own
Your responsibility is to ensure the centre runs professionally, safely and to an exceptionally high standard from opening to closing.
You will:
- Lead the full Saturday operation of the tuition centre
- Manage, support and hold teachers and onsite staff accountable
- Ensure every classroom meets Brainology's expected teaching standards
- Monitor the quality of teaching, behaviour and student engagement
- Observe and assess teachers and provide constructive feedback
- Interview and assess prospective teaching staff onsite
- Make confident decisions regarding staffing and centre operations
- Act as the senior point of contact for parents
- Handle parent questions, concerns and escalations professionally
- Ensure parents receive meaningful feedback regarding their child's progress
- Oversee student attendance, registrations, trials and handovers
- Take responsibility for safeguarding procedures and incidents
- Ensure appropriate policies and procedures are followed throughout the centre
- Maintain the standards expected within an Ofsted-registered childcare/education environment
- Manage incidents and ensure they are correctly recorded and escalated
- Identify weaknesses in current processes and implement improvements
- Work with Brainology's leadership team to continuously raise standards

Who We're Looking For
We want an established education professional who can walk into a busy tuition centre and confidently lead it.
You should have:
- Minimum 5 years' experience working within education
- Demonstrable leadership or management experience within an educational setting
- Experience managing teachers, tutors or education staff
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Experience dealing directly with parents
- Confidence handling difficult conversations and making decisions
- Experience observing or assessing teaching quality
- A strong understanding of what excellent teaching and learning looks like
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- The confidence to hold staff accountable for standards
- A proactive approach to improving systems and processes
Experience as a Head of Department, Assistant Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, Curriculum Lead, Pastoral Lead, Education Centre Manager, Tuition Centre Manager or similar education leadership role would be particularly relevant.

Pay & Working Pattern
£100–£120 per day, depending on experience
Every Saturday
10:00am–2:30pm
This could be particularly suitable for an experienced education professional looking for an additional leadership position alongside their existing career.
You must be able to commit consistently to Saturdays during Brainology's operating calendar.
Safeguarding
Because this position involves responsibility for children, the successful candidate must be suitable to work with children and will be subject to the appropriate enhanced DBS, safeguarding, identity, right-to-work and reference checks.
