West Midlands Safari Park
West Midlands Safari Park has an exciting opportunity for the position of Education Officer to join our team.
Your role
Your role will include providing educational talks, tours, and activities to visiting schools and groups. The role also includes assisting in the teaching of Level 1, 2, and 3 Animal Care and Management Diplomas ensuring lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessment are kept to a high standard at all times.
About you
The role requires someone who is confident, motivated, and enthusiastic about conservation education and has excellent communication skills. You will have gained a degree-level qualification in an animal-related subject. Ideally, we are looking for someone with previous experience within a teaching, presenter, or educator role. Teaching qualifications of PTLLS, CTLLS, or PGCE would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
The post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. This disclosure will need to be satisfactory to the company for employment to commence.

What we are
West Midlands Safari Park is an award-winning visitor attraction, located in Worcestershire in the heart of England. It is home to some of the world’s most beautiful and critically endangered species, with a four-mile safari drive-through, walk-through Discovery Trail, African Village, and Lemur Woods, as well beautiful walking trails, allowing guests to experience up-close encounters with hundreds of amazing animals. In 2021, the Park introduced Safari Lodges – luxury accommodation allowing guests to stay overnight for the first time. Guests can wake up to incredible sights of elephants, giraffes, rhinos, hippos, and red pandas, or sleep just a ‘whisker’ away from lions, white lions, tigers, and cheetahs.
In addition, the Park is home to three incredible venues – Spring Grove House, Treetops Pavilion, and Cellarz, which play host to weddings, corporate events, and social celebrations.
