The HCPC is looking for an experienced and motivated professional to join our Education team as an Education Manager. You will lead a portfolio of change and improvement projects, at an exciting time for the department. Following delivery of change and improvement, the role will move to leading a team within a revised structure from September 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled quality assurance professional, with project management experience, who enjoys working with a wide range of stakeholders, delivering organisational change and improving processes and services.

You will play a key role in supporting the Education Department through a period of transformation, helping to design, develop and implement new ways of working that enhance the effectiveness of the education regulatory function.

Why join us?

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on the future development of HCPC's Education Department. You'll work on meaningful projects that support our public protection purpose, while helping to shape innovative and sustainable approaches to education quality assurance and stakeholder engagement.

About the role

The Education Department plays a vital role in our public protection function. Individuals seeking registration with the HCPC must successfully complete an approved education programme, demonstrating that they have met the standards required to practise safely and effectively.

As an Education Manager, you will lead and deliver a programme of change initiatives and projects that support the ongoing development of the department, to be delivered in September 2027. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will help shape and implement improvements to processes, systems and ways of working, ensuring projects are delivered successfully against agreed objectives, timescales and budgets.

Following delivery of the transformation activities, you will lead a team within the department, focused on our regulatory role in education and training.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and delivering change projects and service improvement initiatives across the Education Department.
  • Designing, developing, implementing and maintaining processes and activities that support and enhance the work of the department.
  • Managing projects from initiation through to delivery, including planning, resource allocation, risk management and budget oversight.
  • Working collaboratively with internal colleagues to deliver project objectives and department priorities.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and leading the implementation of innovative solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with education providers and other key stakeholders across the sector.
  • Communicating change initiatives effectively and ensuring stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead and promote HCPC’s education and regulatory work, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including UK-wide education providers, and delivering effective communication, engagement activities and committee support to raise the profile of education and regulatory process.
  • Manage and develop the education function including a team, while motivating and developing an operational team to achieve organisation objectives and regulatory requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
