About the Role
Gomersal Primary School are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, dynamic and ambitious Grade 6 Educational Teaching Assistant. The role will predominantly involve supporting two pupils with EHCPs in Year 5, working alongside a supportive and experienced teaching team to promote their learning, inclusion and independence. The role will also involve supporting the pupils with their identified medical needs, including the safe administration of NG/tube feeds in accordance with their individual healthcare plans and school procedures. Full training and appropriate support will be provided to enable the successful candidate to carry out these responsibilities safely and confidently.

The successful candidate will be able to build positive relationships, understand individual needs, remove barriers to learning and find creative ways to engage children in their education.
You will work closely with the class teachers, SENDCo and wider staff team to provide targeted support that enables pupils to participate successfully in learning and develop their confidence, independence and social skills. The role will also include lunchtime supervision, supporting children to have a happy, safe and positive lunchtime experience.
