Shire Healthcare are recruiting for an Educational Psychologist to work across the West Yorkshire area.

Role snapshot:

The successful candidate will support children and young people aged 5–25 with SEMH, developmental trauma, neurodiversity and SEND, providing psychological and educational assessments, consultation and intervention.

You will work closely with children, young people, families, education and residential teams, contributing to EHCPs, EHCNAs, staff training and wider service development within an established multidisciplinary team.

Contract type – Permanent, term-time

Hours – Full-time, 35 hours per week, term-time

Salary – £50,165–£55,424 actual salary (£54,495–£60,208 FTE)

Experience required:

  • HCPC registered Educational Psychologist.
  • Professional qualification in Educational Psychology eligible for HCPC registration.
  • 2–5 years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Experience working with SEMH, neurodiversity and SEND.
  • Strong assessment, consultation and report-writing skills.
  • Experience with EHCPs/EHCNAs and multidisciplinary working.
  • Experience within educational settings; residential experience is desirable.
