About the Practice
Our client is an established private educational psychology practice providing EHCP assessments, private cognitive assessments and bespoke support to schools and families. The practice works with families, schools, local authorities and legal firms, with a strong reputation for high-quality reports, flexible assessment dates and meeting evidence deadlines.
With an existing caseload and plans for gradual expansion, this is an excellent opportunity for an Educational Psychologist seeking flexible working, professional autonomy and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to children and young people.
The Role
As an Educational Psychologist, you will carry out assessments, work within the EHCP system and produce high-quality reports, supporting children and young people across a varied caseload.
You will work with schools, parents and local authorities, with the opportunity to carry out some assessments remotely via video. Where attendance is required at a school or child’s home, approximately one hour of travel would typically be expected.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
