Educational Psychologist | Walsall
£600 per day | 1 day per week | Outside IR35 | Long term contract
LINQ Psychology are working with a specialist school in the Walsall area who are looking to bring an Educational Psychologist into their team on a long-term basis.
This is a slightly different opportunity to the statutory assessment work we regularly recruit EPs for. The school is looking for an EP who can become embedded within their wider team and provide ongoing psychological input across their provision, with a particular focus on developing processes, implementing systems and supporting staff across two sites.
The role:
Working for 1 day per week, you'll become a consistent part of the school's internal MDT, working alongside staff to develop and strengthen the way psychological approaches are used across the setting.
Your work will include:
- Developing and implementing processes and systems across two school sites
- Working within the school's internal MDT to provide specialist psychological input
- Supporting staff wellbeing and building psychological approaches into everyday practice
- Using EP expertise to strengthen provision and develop practice across the setting
- Providing consultation, advice and guidance around individual, staff and wider organisational needs

The contract
- £600 per day
- 1 day per week with flexibility around which day you work
- Outside IR35
- Long-term contract, with work confirmed for the full academic year and an ongoing requirement thereafter
- School based
- Weekly in-house payroll
About you:
We're looking for an HCPC registered Educational Psychologist with at least 3 years' post qualification experience in the UK.

You'll be comfortable working collaboratively within a school environment and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff and provide practical psychological advice and guidance.
We're particularly interested in EPs who have experience of developing practice, supporting staff and contributing to wider systems or processes, rather than solely working within statutory assessment.
You'll need to be confident working independently, managing your own day within the school and using your professional expertise to identify where psychological input can add value across the wider setting.
