Private Therapy Clinic is a private mental health service specializing in ADHD, autism, AuDHD assessments, psychiatry, and psychological therapy for adults, children, and young people. The clinic operates in person from London and Dublin and provides online services across the UK and Ireland. For families in England, the clinic accepts NHS Right to Choose referrals for ADHD and autism assessments for children aged 6–18 at no cost to the family. Each clinician focuses on a specific area of treatment, ensuring highly specialized care in domains such as depression, anger management, stress management, and more. All practitioners are fully certified, deliver confidential support, and use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) at times that fit around clients’ schedules and needs.
Role Description
The Educational Psychologist will provide specialist assessments and interventions for children and young people, focusing on learning, cognitive, and socio-emotional development in educational settings.

- Conducting psycho-educational assessments
- Preparing comprehensive reports
- Offering recommendations for schools, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Collaborating with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and external stakeholders to contribute to individualized care plans
- Offering consultation, training, and guidance to education professionals and caregivers
This is a contract role based in the London Area, United Kingdom, structured as a hybrid position with a combination of in-clinic work and remote/home-based tasks, including virtual assessments, consultations, and follow-up sessions.
Qualifications
- Recognized postgraduate qualification in Educational Psychology and current registration with HCPC (or eligibility for registration).
- Strong skills in psycho-educational assessment, report writing, and formulation, including use of standardized cognitive, learning, and behavioral measures.
- Experience working with neurodivergent children and young people (e.g., ADHD, autism, AuDHD), and familiarity with evidence-based interventions in educational contexts.
- Proven ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and to liaise effectively with schools, local authorities, and families.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to non-specialists.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, including maintaining accurate clinical records and managing a varied caseload in a hybrid work environment.
- Knowledge of UK education systems, special educational needs (SEN) processes, and relevant legislation and guidance (e.g., EHCP processes) is highly beneficial.
- Experience providing consultation, training, or workshops for school staff, parents, or carers is an advantage.
