Are you an experienced sales professional in toys or retail, looking for the chance to build something of your own? Interested in STEM and hands-on learning? Want the opportunity to launch, and eventually lead, the UK toy retail operations of a successful international business? This might be the role for you!
The company Our client is a STEM education company headquartered in the EU, built around a proprietary snap-fit construction system. It was created by an engineer-turned-teacher, after watching his students struggle to turn engineering ideas into working models – a problem that still drives the company's mission today: turning curiosity into confidence, and imagination into invention.
The company now operates in 50+ countries, across two divisions:
- Toy Retail: Age-tiered construction kits – from Junior (3+) through to Professional (12+) – plus robotics, programmable controllers and companion software including 3D Builder and a programming platform.
- STEM Education: Robotics, STEM and makerspace equipment, software and teacher curriculum for schools from preschool through to secondary.
This role sits within the Toy Retail division and is one of the company's first hires in the UK. They're about to launch two exciting new licensed ranges into the UK toy market: Science Museum and Natural History Museum construction toys.
The role You will lead the launch and expansion of the toy retail side of the business – building the toy retail channel from scratch, including introducing the company's newly licensed Science Museum and Natural History Museum ranges to UK retail buyers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This is a home-based, highly market-facing role: opening new doors, running customer visits and online presentations, developing accounts, and following opportunities through to implementation. It's also part project/account management – coordinating with the international team on logistics, installations and external contractors. They need someone who takes ownership of the UK market, not just someone who sells into it.

- Identifying, opening and managing new accounts across UK toy retailers, wholesalers and buying groups
- Introducing the new Science Museum and Natural History Museum ranges to retail buyers
- Running customer visits, online presentations and trade-show representation
