EfW Shift Operations Technician
Do you have experience in a process / plant environment within the power generation, chemical process / manufacturing, waste water treatment, biomass or similar industry?
SUEZ are looking for EfW Shift Operation Technicians to join our Aberdeen site.

Salary & Benefits:
- £38,636 base salary
- 30% shift allowance
- Up to 10% annual bonus

Location: Energy From Waste Plant, Aberdeen
Shift Rotation: 12 hour rotating shifts - days and nights: 42 hours per week average

About The Role
What will I be doing?
Working 12-hour shifts (days and nights), you'll help keep our plant running safely and efficiently. You’ll work directly with critical EfW plant systems, helping to convert waste into energy safely, efficiently and in line with environmental legislation.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Monitoring, controlling and adjusting plant processes to keep operations safe and efficient
- Managing and sampling water tube boilers, analysing results and responding to issues
- Identifying, troubleshooting and resolving process or equipment problems
- Isolating plant systems when required to maintain safe operations
- Playing an active role in safety, environmental compliance and continuous improvement
What are the requirements?
- A background in mechanical, electrical or process engineering within an EfW site or similar process plant
- Knowledge of boilers, process control, instrumentation and environmental legislation
- A Process Plant Operations Qualification (Level 1, 2 or 3) or equivalent experience in a chemical or energy facility
- Holding or willingness to work towards certifications such as BOAS Cert IBO and IOSH Working Safely, with good IT skills
- A collaborative mindset and motivated to continuously improve
