eFX Salesperson
Overview
Join Société Générale in the Markets division as an eFX Salesperson and be a part of the digital transformation of our global FX business. As a salesperson in electronic FX, you will be at the intersection of clients, markets, technology and data, leveraging each to grow the business and act as an advisory to the franchise. This role works in close partnership across Sales, Trading and Technology teams and is at the forefront of key FX initiatives for the firm.
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee eFX distribution for UK based clients
- Responsible for overall growth of electronic FX client footprint across all client segments (HF, AM, Banks and Corporates)
- Ability to take ownership and drive key electronic FX initiatives as part of the global FX strategy
- Manage liquidity and pricing in conjunction with Trading to optimize trade activity with clients
- Work in coordination with FI & Corp FX Sales teams to present Société Générale eFX platform to clients
- Prospect and onboard eFX to new clients to grow the total client base
- Market the Algorithmic trading platform & monitor intraday activity
- Provide analysis and insight into client franchise and market opportunities
- Expert in FX market structure and current trends across all FX products (macro news, developments in FX liquidity and technology)
- Provide clients with advisory on methods of execution eg algo vs risk transfer
- Coordinate client requests across teams at Société Générale including but not limited to Trading, Engineering, Research, Strategy, Middle Office and Back Office
- Fluent in the client onboarding & documentation lifecycle
- Monitor new product workflows, upkeep operational issues and improve processes
Client Focus & Coverage
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Banks, Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Corporates clients through proactive client coverage and regular engagement.
- Deliver data-driven insights and tailored solutions to strengthen client relationships and increase wallet share.
- Conduct regular reviews of key client accounts, monitor client activity and identify opportunities to increase electronic trading adoption.
- Perform platform gap analyses, monitor pending onboarding requests, and ensure timely client activation.
- Manage and develop the low-touch client portfolio through systematic monitoring of activity, profitability and engagement metrics.

Franchise Development & Business Growth
- Drive the growth of Société Générale's electronic FX franchise by increasing client engagement, volumes, market share and platform rankings.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through emerging electronic trading venues and strategic partnerships with platforms and vendors.
- Conduct regular platform and vendor reviews, monitor market share evolution and identify areas for commercial expansion.
- Contribute to operational efficiency initiatives by simplifying processes, reducing non-value-added activities and supporting the Group Performance & Efficiency Program.
Collaboration with Trading
- Work closely with Trading and e-Trading teams to optimize client profitability, pricing strategy, liquidity provision and execution performance.
- Review client performance metrics including revenues, volumes, hit ratios, non-answered ratios and market impact analysis.
- Participate in client tiering reviews and pricing optimization initiatives to improve commercial outcomes while protecting the firm's balance sheet.
- Support the development and growth of the electronic FX franchise across all distribution channels.
Required
Profile required
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Deep understanding of FX market structure, electronic trading ecosystems, liquidity distribution, algorithmic execution and multi-dealer platforms.
- Proven experience managing relationships with institutional clients including Banks, Asset Managers, Hedge Funds and Corporates.
- Demonstrated ability to grow electronic trading revenues, client activity, market share and platform rankings through data-driven commercial strategies.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret client behavior, trading flows, market share trends and profitability metrics to support commercial decision making.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bloomberg and data visualization/reporting tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, Sales, Trading, Technology and Senior Management.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in FX Sales, eFX Sales, e-Trading, Electronic Distribution or a related Markets role.
