EHCP Coordinator Southampton and Gosport

GBP17:GBP19 per Hour ASAP

Location: Southampton and Gosport, Hampshire

Pay: GBP17.00:GBP19.00 per hour, dependent on experience

Hours: 30 hours per week, term time only

Start: ASAP

Reeson Education is recruiting an experienced EHCP Coordinator to support a sixth form college Trust across sites in Southampton and Gosport. This is an immediate agency opportunity for a highly organised SEND professional with strong knowledge of Education, Health and Care Plans and the annual review process.

The Role

As an EHCP Coordinator, you will manage an allocated caseload of post 16 students with EHCPs and High Needs funding. You will coordinate and chair annual reviews, gather contributions from families and professionals, and ensure documentation is completed accurately within statutory timescales.

The EHCP Coordinator will work closely with learning support teams, curriculum staff, parents, local authorities and external agencies to ensure students receive the provision outlined within their plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and chairing EHCP annual review meetings
  • Managing annual review documentation and statutory deadlines
  • Gathering feedback from students, parents, staff and external professionals
  • Monitoring whether agreed SEND provision is being delivered
  • Supporting students transitioning into and through college
  • Liaising with local authorities regarding consultations and High Needs funding
  • Maintaining accurate student records and management information
  • Providing guidance to staff regarding individual student needs

The Ideal EHCP Coordinator

To Succeed As An EHCP Coordinator, You Should Have

  • Experience working with young people or adults with SEND and complex needs
  • Strong knowledge of the EHCP and annual review process
  • Experience coordinating or chairing multi-agency meetings
  • Excellent written communication and administrative skills
  • Confidence working with families, education staff and external agencies
  • Level 2 Qualifications In English And Maths
  • The ability to travel between Southampton and Gosport
  • An Enhanced DBS issued within the last three months or registered on the Update Service
  • Two satisfactory professional references

Previous experience as an EHCP Coordinator, EHC Caseworker, SEND Administrator, Annual Review Officer or Assistant SENCO would be particularly relevant.
