Join Our Growing Team as a Senior eHealth Systems Engineer!

Are you looking to become part of a friendly but growing healthcare business providing exceptional care to our patients? Vision Scotland is seeking a talented and ambitious Senior eHealth Systems Engineer who embodies our values to join our growing, dynamic team.

Vision Scotland is a private ophthalmology group operating clinics across Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling, Aberdeen, and Galashiels. Our eHealth team keeps clinical and business systems secure, reliable, and connected across every site, supporting the delivery of excellent patient care.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior eHealth Systems Engineer to strengthen the security and reliability of our technology estate, covering cyber security and Microsoft 365 administration. This is a senior, hands-on role reporting to the Head of eHealth. Experience with Salesforce would be an advantage but is not essential.

This is a great opportunity to shape security and systems for a growing multi-clinic healthcare group whilst working in a varied, senior technical role spanning security, infrastructure, and platform development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day cyber security operations, including monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management across the clinic network.
  • Administer and harden the Microsoft 365 environment, including Azure, Entra ID, and Intune, to maintain secure identity, device, and access management.
  • Manage and tune Microsoft Defender across endpoints, email, and cloud workloads to protect systems and patient data.
  • Support secure rollout of new devices, applications, and system changes across all clinic locations.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant data protection, information governance, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Document system configurations and security procedures for the wider eHealth team.
  • Provide escalation-level technical support and mentor junior members of the eHealth team.
  • Work closely with the Head of eHealth to plan and deliver ongoing system improvements and security roadmaps.
