Health, Safety and Environmental (EHS) Coordinator

Location: Bristol

Salary: GBP35,000 - GBP45,000 DOE

Are you passionate about creating a safe, compliant and environmentally responsible workplace?

We are recruiting for an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental (EHS) Coordinator to join a successful and growing manufacturing business.

This is a standalone role with genuine influence across the organisation, giving you the opportunity to champion health, safety and environmental best practice while driving a positive safety culture. You'll be the go-to person for all EHS-related matters, working closely with managers and employees to ensure compliance, continuous improvement and operational excellence.

If you're a proactive EHS professional who enjoys autonomy, building relationships and making a visible impact, this could be an excellent opportunity.

The Role

As the EHS Coordinator, you will take ownership of the company's health, safety and environmental systems, ensuring legal compliance while promoting best practice throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion a positive health, safety and environmental culture across the site
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all EHS-related matters
  • Develop, review and maintain policies, procedures, risk assessments and compliance documentation
  • Lead accident and incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
  • Maintain accident records, monitor trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate health surveillance programmes, DSE assessments, PPE requirements and employee wellbeing initiatives
  • Support and maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems
  • Organise and coordinate health, safety and compliance training activities
  • Chair or support EHS committee meetings and drive engagement across the workforce
  • Manage fire safety activities as Chief Fire Marshal, including drills, inspections and emergency preparedness
  • Ensure statutory inspections, testing, servicing and compliance activities are completed on time
  • Monitor changes in legislation and ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Support wider environmental and sustainability initiatives across the business

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
