Site EHS Advisor
Location: Minster, Kent
Contract: Initial 3 Months (Long-Term Project Opportunities Available)
Rate: £500-£600 per day (Outside IR35)
Start: ASAP
Belcan Workforce Solutions is recruiting for an experienced Site EHS Advisor to support a major energy infrastructure project based in Minster, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile project within the power and energy sector, with the potential for long-term engagement beyond the initial contract period.
The successful Site EHS Advisor will provide operational Environmental, Health & Safety support to site management teams, promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring the highest standards of compliance throughout construction, installation and commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance assessments.
- Undertake risk assessments and hazard identification activities.
- Review and monitor RAMS, permits and safe systems of work.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Support emergency response planning and site preparedness.
- Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and EHS communications.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance and report non-conformances.
- Maintain accurate EHS documentation and reporting records.
- Produce regular EHS reports and support project management teams.
- Promote a proactive zero-harm culture across the project.

Essential Requirements
- 3 to 7+ years' experience within an EHS, HSE or SHEQ role.
- Proven experience conducting audits, inspections and investigations.
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment and hazard identification.
- Experience implementing and maintaining EHS management systems.
- Knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation.
- Experience within HVDC projects, substation construction, utilities or the wider energy sector.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and reporting skills.
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office.

- CDM experience on major construction projects.
- National Grid project experience.
- Lead Auditor qualifications.
- IOSH Chartered Membership.
- Experience working for principal contractors on large infrastructure schemes.
