Interim EHS Consultant
Outside IR35 - Open to conversations on rates.
3-6 Month assignment
Full Time Onsite - West Midlands
We are supporting a manufacturing group with a complex range of businesses through a critical period of operational and cultural change.
We are looking for a senior EHS professional who can quickly assess the current position, establish clear priorities and, most importantly, support the delivery of the actions required. This is not a role for someone who simply identifies problems and produces recommendations. The successful consultant will work closely with leadership teams and operational colleagues to turn those recommendations into practical, measurable improvements across the group.
The assignment will involve:
- Supporting the delivery of a group-wide EHS improvement programme
- Reviewing existing risks, priorities, and improvement plans
- Turning identified issues into clear and achievable actions
- Working across a diverse portfolio of process and manufacturing businesses
- Influencing stakeholders from C-suite level through to the shop floor
- Supporting site and business leaders to take ownership of EHS performance
- Helping improve both operational standards and the wider safety culture
- Providing clear, credible updates to senior leadership

We are looking for:
- Significant EHS leadership experience within complex manufacturing or process environments
- Previous experience operating at Head of, Director, or senior consultancy level
- A strong track record of supporting businesses through critical operational and cultural change
- The credibility to challenge and influence senior leaders
- A practical, delivery-focused approach
- The ability to engage effectively with colleagues at every level of an organisation
- Experience implementing improvement plans, not simply auditing or recommending them
