EHS Consultant - Maternity Cover

Location: London or Dublin preferred, with UK & Ireland-wide responsibility
Contract: Fixed-Term Contract / Maternity Cover, 6-9 month
Start: Immediate
Hours: Full-time
Sector: IT / Technology
Coverage: 12 sites across the UK & Ireland | Approx. 9,000 employees

We are supporting a major international technology organisation with the appointment of an experienced Environment, Health & Safety professional to provide maternity cover across its UK and Ireland operations.

This is a hands-on, multi-site EHS role supporting eight locations across the UK and four across Ireland. The successful candidate will help maintain and develop an established EHS management system while supporting operational teams, HR, workplace services and external stakeholders across the region.

The position would suit an experienced EHS Consultant, EHS Coordinator, EHS Advisor or EHS Manager who is comfortable working autonomously across a large corporate, office-based environment and can start at short notice.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting EHS compliance and regulatory requirements across the UK and Ireland.
  • Managing incident, accident and near-miss investigations, corrective actions and follow-up.
  • Maintaining legal registers, risk assessments and operational controls.
  • Supporting the organisation's ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Maintaining EHS policies, procedures and associated documentation.
  • Supporting internal and external EHS audits.
  • Coordinating EHS training requirements and compliance activities.
  • Supporting emergency preparedness and response programmes.
  • Completing or coordinating ergonomic and DSE assessments.
  • Supporting workplace health, safety and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Liaising closely with HR, Workplace/GWS teams, Occupational Health providers and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting ESG and EHS data collection, reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Providing EHS support across multiple UK and Ireland locations as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Previous responsibility for EHS across multiple locations would be particularly valuable.

The preferred base is London or Dublin, although the position supports the wider UK and Ireland region and some travel between sites should be expected.

The client is looking for somebody who can join quickly and provide continuity throughout the maternity-cover period.

Contract duration, exact working pattern, travel frequency and remuneration are currently being finalised.
