Job Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an EHS Graduate to join our Environment, Health & Safety team at our Chirk, Wrexham site. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience across waste management, environmental compliance, and site auditing within a fast-paced, global manufacturing business. The role will focus mainly on supporting waste collections and administration, alongside wider EHS duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support scheduled waste collections across site, working closely with contractors and internal departments.
  • Carry out internal waste audits, weekly waste ticket reviews, and waste sampling, helping to drive continuous improvement in waste segregation and minimization.
  • Support environmental monitoring activities, including borehole dip readings and quarterly residue sampling.
  • Assist with the weekly environmental audit checker and support wider EHS audits and site inspections.
  • Help prepare monthly KPI reports and maintain accurate environmental records.
  • Support the investigation and response to noise, odour and dust complaints from the public and regulators.
  • Provide general administrative support to the EHS team, along with other ad-hoc duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related technical/scientific discipline. Candidates from other disciplines with a genuine interest in environmental compliance and waste management will also be considered.
  • No prior work experience required - full training will be provided.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Well-organized, with strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, comfortable liaising with contractors, regulators and members of the public.
  • A full UK driving licence is beneficial.
