EHS Manager - Network Services, Nuclear

Telent (Part of M Group) are now looking for an EHS Manager to join the Network Services division, due to an increase in work within the Nuclear space.

Location:

  • 1-2 days a month at the Bridgwater office (Somerset) and project locations as required
  • Working from home where appropriate
  • This is a Hybrid working role, with approximately 15% site attendance, and 85% focused on planning, documentation, audits and EHS management activities.

What you'll do:

  • Develop, review and maintain health, safety and environmental management plans, procedures, risk assessments and method statements for major infrastructure projects.
  • Provide expert EHS advice and guidance to project teams, construction managers and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, surveillance activities and compliance reviews to support safe project delivery.
  • Review and challenge contractor documentation, ensuring robust controls are in place before site activities commence.
  • Support the development and implementation of risk-based monitoring programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Investigate issues, identify improvements and contribute to the ongoing development of a strong safety culture across Network Services projects.
  • Provide environmental support and guidance, ensuring projects meet legislative and organisational requirements.

Who you are:

You'll be a qualified EHS professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with strong written communication skills. You'll be comfortable developing formal health and safety documentation, challenging existing processes and supporting project teams to achieve high safety and environmental standards. Experience within construction, utilities, telecoms, communications or similar infrastructure environments would be highly beneficial.

Key Requirements:

  • Health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience within construction, utilities, telecoms, fibre, communications or similar operational environments.
  • Strong document-writing skills, including experience producing health and safety plans, procedures, manuals, risk assessments and related documentation.
  • Good understanding of construction health, safety and environmental legislation, risk management and auditing principles.
  • Environmental awareness and understanding of sustainable working practices.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to Bridgwater, Somerset and other project locations.
  • Ability to satisfy BPSS-related screening requirements, including a minimum of five years' UK residency.
