Company Description

Location: Primark XXXX

Salary: £39,709 (with 31 days annual leave & pension)

Contract: Full-Time Permanent, 5 days out of 7

Our colleagues are the heart of everything we do – we’re caring, dynamic and we succeed together. As the EHS & Operations Manager within the store, your role will involve establishing a secure environment for both customers and colleagues.

Job Description

What you’ll do

At Primark we do retail our way…so here is a taste of what you can expect in the role.

  • Maintain and monitor fire safety, asbestos management, and water system maintenance.
  • Conduct regular EHS audits – investigate and escalate as the situation dictates.
  • Review any accidents and take any preventative measures.
  • Manage the relationship with security and any 3rd party contractors.
  • Implement environmental initiatives within the store on energy management, waste management and chemical management.
  • Lead a small team and collaborate with the store management team to drive operational excellence.
  • Create a culture of ‘Safe Today, Safe Tomorrow’ by implementing all EHS policies and procedures, through effective coaching and demonstrating proactivity to mitigate hazards that may arise.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring

Your focus will be instilling a safety-first ethos and promoting a secure store setting for both team members and customers. Here’s what we need from you:

  • Experienced Operations professional with at least 3 years of management.
  • Ideally, you’ll have relevant EHS qualifications such as NEBOSH, or you are willing to work towards gaining them.
  • A keen eye for detail spotting potential hazards before they arise.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills – to challenge, engage, and inspire at all levels.
