EHS Specialist – Kerry

The successful EHS Specialist will support the EHS workstream for a facility expansion project, with a focus on facilitating HAZOP sessions and developing EHS SOPs ahead of startup.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and facilitate HAZOP workshops for new equipment/process installations, ensuring actions are tracked to closure
  • Develop, review, and issue EHS SOPs and safety documentation for the new facility
  • Support establishment of site safety systems and procedures ahead of operational startup
  • Liaise with engineering, validation, and operations teams to identify and mitigate EHS risks
  • Ensure compliance with Irish health & safety legislation (Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, associated regulations) and relevant industry standards
  • Support risk assessments (e.g. HAZID, FMEA) as required

  • Proven experience facilitating or participating in HAZOP workshops
  • Experience establishing EHS management systems/SOPs, ideally in a new-build or startup environment
  • Working knowledge of Irish EHS legislative requirements
  • Pharmaceutical, chemical, or regulated manufacturing background preferred
  • Strong stakeholder communication and documentation skills
