EHS Specialist in Environmental Compliance and Construction Safety

Wood is looking for an EHS Specialist in Environmental Compliance and Construction Safety to join our busy team on a 18-month PAYE contract, based at our client’s site full time in Worthing in West Sussex.

This is a site-based role, with a requirement to be on site during working days; Flexible working arrangements are subject to discussion on a case-by-case basis.

The role:

We are seeking an experienced professional to join a high performing team on one of our clients flagship sites. As the site’s Environmental Specialist and a core member of the EHS team, you will bring unquestioned environmental technical proficiency to the role and a demonstrable ability to drive continuous EHS improvement and risk reduction. You will develop a truly engaging EHS culture where everyone works together to reduce risks in a culture which allows people to be at their best. You will be experienced in leading successful EHS programmes.

The successful applicant will be responsible for overall management and improvement of Environmental Sustainability performance across the site, working with the Engineering team, the EHS Director and other team members as appropriate. This position will include leading and hosting audits in Environmental Compliance, Construction / Demolition and other EHS topics. You may also get the opportunity to act as the deputy for the EHS Director as appropriate.

We have a number of clients who we are working with to design their pilot plants to test exciting new technologies, with a view to partnering with them as they move to design and build full scale commercial facilities.
