Position Overview
At Parker Meggitt, we’re looking for a proactive Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist to work onsite 5 days a week helping to shape a safe, compliant and high-performing working environment here at Ansty Park.
This is a hands-on, site-based role where you’ll play a key part in developing, delivering and continuously improving safety programmes that protect our people, support operational excellence and meet both regulatory requirements and Parker Meggitt’s high standards.
You’ll support compliance with our HSE management systems, coordinate internal and external audits, carry out risk assessments, and drive the timely close-out of actions and findings. Working closely with teams across the business, you’ll help embed a strong safety culture in a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and delivering HSE training for employees
- Reporting and investigating incidents in a timely manner
- Providing internal and external reporting as appropriate for key HSE metrics and KPI’s
- Preparing and where required delivering site HSE briefings
- Collating all accident records and reporting any accidents reportable under RIDDOR (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations)
- Issuing UC/NM reports (Unsafe Condition/Near Miss Report) numbers and monitoring accident/incident database
- Assisting with HSE incident investigation reports as required

Essential skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for this position:
- Qualified to NEBOSH Certificate, Diploma level or international equivalent in relevant country
- Environmental qualification, preferably IEMA or IOSH or international equivalent
- Experience of implementing, maintaining and improving ISO 14001 and ISO145001 (or country equivalent) management systems
- Able to demonstrate significant knowledge of EHS directives, systems & legal requirements
- Engineering qualification or proven background of contributing to safety improvements in an engineering/manufacturing environment
- Experience of implementing EHS systems and procedures including near miss, risk and ergonomic assessments
- Experience of risk and change management i.e. devising EHS new systems, advising on contractor management for equipment transfers
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of Lean or other problem-solving tools and techniques (A3s).
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Computer literate, proficient in MS Office and EHS management systems (Gensuite would be an advantage)
