Outreach Program on Basic Health Checkup and International Educational Fair at Safapora

One day outreach program on Basic Health Checkup and International Educational Fair at Safapora was organized by Ehsaas Trust International & Dard Welfare Society with ground support from social care group (SCG), a local social organization in the area.

Program Highlights

  • The outreach program broadly covered Basic Health Checkup by specialist doctors and free medicines were distributed.
  • SPO2 evaluation of vulnerable population at village level to screen asymptomatic, unnoticed suspected COVID-19 positive patients.
  • A full-fledged Dail A Doctor service was done to aware the people at village level and method to avail the same.

Guest Speakers

  • IAS/KAS officers, IIT alumina, and Scientists were present at the venue to boost and motivate the students for their career opportunities.
    • Mr. Hamid Bukhari, IAS Allied presently holding the position of Registrar Companies, J&K delivered his speech about the aspiration towards becoming IAS/KAS officer. He interacted with the students as well.
    • Mr. Shakeel Maqbool, IAS allied, presently holding the position Asst. Controller General Expenditure, Ministry of Finance was also present in the event. He delivered a motivational speech addressed to the civil servant aspirants and interacted with the students.

Guidance for Aspirants

  • Dr. Azhar, IIT Alumia interacted with the Engineering aspirants and guided them on how to prepare and achieve the goal of studying at IIT’s and other prestigious institutions across the globe.

International Educational Fair

  • On the sidelines of the event, an international educational fair was organized, which was attended by students aspiring for Civil Services and other professional courses in medical and engineering streams.
  • Information about various scholarships schemes offered by the Govt. and scholarships available with Ehsaas International Trust under the education rehabilitation and scholarship initiative was disseminated among the students.

Additional Resources

  • Video tutorials pertaining to civil service examination preparation were offered to the aspiring candidates on spot.
  • Question and answer sessions addressing the queries of attending students was held by IAS/KAS officers, who were present at the function. It was decided that more such outreach programs will be conducted in near future in other areas as well.
