About LondonEnergy
At LondonEnergy, we’re proud of our vital role in managing North London’s waste and protecting the environment. As part of the team, you’ll already know that we handle and process 750,000 tonnes of waste each year, making us the second largest waste contract in the UK.
Together, we generate enough energy from waste to power around 80,000 homes annually and recycle 70% of items through our Reuse and Recycling Centres. This is only possible thanks to the dedication of our people, who make a real difference every day.
About the Role
As the E&I Technician you will be responsible for the maintenance of the electrical and instrumentation equipment at our various sites across North London, for minimal downtime and to minimise machine breakdowns by ensuring an effective PPM process is in place on all associated electrical and instrumentation machinery and equipment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
