Electrical Apprenticeship Assessor
Location: Barking & Dagenham College, Rush Green, RM7 0XU
Salary: £39,319 – £45,052 per annum
Hours: 36 hours per week
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Apprenticeship Assessor to join the team at Barking & Dagenham College.
The successful candidate will assess and support Level 3 Electrical Installation apprentices, helping them progress both in the workplace and on campus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess Level 3 Electrical Installation apprentices in their workplaces.
- Carry out progress reviews and portfolio workshops.
- Coach apprentices in line with apprenticeship standards and core skills.
- Visit and actively support apprentices in the workplace.
- Support curriculum design and work-related training.
- Complete assessment, progress and apprenticeship documentation.
- Support the onboarding of new apprentices.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers.

Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification
- Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification
- Assessors Award
- Level 2 English and Maths
- Experience teaching, training or assessing apprentices.
- Experience working with a training provider.
- Strong knowledge of the Level 3 Electrical Installation and Maintenance apprenticeship.
- Electrical industry experience.
- Good IT and administrative skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence – required for workplace visits.
- A teaching qualification is desirable.
