📍 Adlington, Macclesfield, Cheshire UK | 🕒 Full-time (39 hours per week, Monday–Friday)
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Assembly Technician to join our Production team in Adlington.
This is a hands-on role responsible for the electrical assembly, testing, commissioning, and support of our industry-leading tray sealing machinery. Working closely with Engineering and Production teams, you will ensure our equipment is built to the highest standards, tested rigorously, and delivered ready to perform in customer environments worldwide.
What You'll Be Doing
Electrical Assembly & Installation
- Wire control panel backplates, doors, and associated equipment from electrical schematics and panel layouts
- Carry out electro-mechanical installation of control cubicle and machine-mounted components
- Terminate and secure external cabling within control panels and machine systems
- Install PLC and HMI programs onto machinery and equipment
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all electrical work meets the highest standards of quality and workmanship
- Perform earth continuity, insulation, and pre-delivery testing
- Support machine validation and sign-off processes prior to customer shipment

Commissioning & Customer Support
- Support on-site machine commissioning activities where required
- Provide remote and on-site support to assist with breakdowns and technical issues
- Deliver operator and technical training at customer sites and within Proseal facilities
- Participate in on-call and service support activities as part of the service rota
Health, Safety & Housekeeping
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Follow all electrical safety and company procedures
- Support a positive Health & Safety culture throughout the business
- Work flexibly when required, including occasional travel within the UK and overseas
What You'll Bring
Essential
- Time-served Electrician with experience in industrial control system wiring and fault finding
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
- Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery
- Experience with servo drive systems and AC inverters
- Strong ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Desirable
- Experience within the food processing or packaging industry
- Previous experience commissioning automated machinery
- Customer-facing engineering or service experience
