General Description:
Reporting to the Head of Asset Integrity within the Asset Management function, the business requires an Electrical Asset Integrity Manager to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of all electrical engineering work scopes across offshore wind assets.
This role is responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining asset integrity strategies for high-voltage electrical systems throughout the operational lifecycle. You will provide technical leadership, interface management, and engineering assurance for high‑voltage electrical systems, ensuring safe, compliant, and commercially sound delivery.
The role will interface closely with asset integrity, operations, HSE, supply chain, and external service providers and will span multiple offshore wind assets.
Core Main Accountabilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain asset integrity strategies for electrical systems including offshore and onshore substations, export and array cables, and associated HV equipment.
- Act as the electrical asset integrity technical authority, ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Define integrity management plans, inspection regimes, condition monitoring strategies, and performance standards for electrical assets.
- Provide engineering assurance over inspection, maintenance, repair, and modification activities affecting electrical systems.
- Interface with operations, OEMs, and service providers to ensure effective execution of asset integrity activities.
- Review and approve technical documentation including inspection reports, condition assessments, defect evaluations, and repair scopes.
- Support failure investigations, root cause analysis, and defect management processes, ensuring lessons learned are captured and implemented.
- Identify degradation mechanisms and integrity risks, implementing mitigation measures proportionate to risk.
- Support life-extension assessments, obsolescence management, and long-term asset management planning.
- Provide input into budgets, expenditure forecasts, and integrity-related investment cases.
- Engage with certification bodies, insurers, and regulators as required to support continued asset compliance.
- Promote and embed a strong safety culture aligned with high-voltage electrical and offshore wind best practice.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
