Production Engineer
Location: Northallerton
Salary: £48,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 12 hour Shifts Days & Nights
The Company
A leading UK manufacturer is looking to recruit a Production Engineer to join its high-performing engineering team. The Role
As a Production Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring manufacturing equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. Working closely with production and engineering teams, you'll focus on equipment performance, process improvements, and preventative maintenance strategies.

Key Responsibilities
- Improve equipment reliability and production efficiency.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects.
- Support planned and reactive maintenance activities.
- Analyse equipment failures and carry out root cause analysis.
- Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime.
- Assist with the introduction of new equipment and production processes.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation and performance records.
Requirements
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
- A strong engineering background (mechanical, electrical or multi-skilled).
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work effectively within a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong communication and team-working skills.
- Relevant engineering qualifications are desirable.
