Electrical CAD Engineer
Location: Southampton
Department: CAD
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £35,000 per annum
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Electrical CAD Engineer to join our CAD team. You will produce accurate, high-quality electrical drawings and support projects from design through to completion.
You will work closely with engineers, clients and manufacturing teams to ensure drawings meet project requirements, technical standards and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and general arrangements.
- Ensure drawings are accurate and completed to project deadlines.
- Work with engineers and clients to understand technical requirements.
- Update drawings to reflect manufacturing and As-Built changes.
- Follow company, project and industry drawing standards.
- Support the internal drawing review and approval process.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Maintain and develop technical knowledge.

Essential Requirements
- 2+ years' experience producing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and general arrangements.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles and three-phase systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong organisation and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable
- EAL Level 3 Panel Wiring Certificate.
- Knowledge of metering and electrical/electronic panel manufacturing.
