Electrical CAD Engineer

Location: Southampton, Hampshire

Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity is available for an Electrical CAD Engineer in Southampton. This Electrical CAD Engineer role is suited to someone with strong electrical drawing experience who can produce accurate, high-quality documentation across multiple projects.

The Role

As an Electrical CAD Engineer in Southampton, you will produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and general arrangement drawings, working closely with engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure drawings meet project requirements and deadlines.

About You

We are looking for an Electrical CAD Engineer with:

  • 2+ years’ experience producing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and general arrangements
  • Strong understanding of electrical principles
  • Knowledge of three-phase electricity
  • Experience with electrical panels and/or metering
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Experience updating drawings to reflect manufacturing and as-built changes
  • An EAL Level 3 Panel Wiring Certificate would be desirable.
