This role will be responsible for the planning and implementation of small capital and Continuous Improvement (CI) projects involving compliance and improvements, including upgrading buildings and installing new equipment. The Projects will have priority focus on electrical supply and optimization, electrical generation and energy savings on related Equipment and Infrastructure.
The role will additionally support electrical compliance activities, delivery of site hard services and upskilling of electrical trainees.
Please note that this role is fixed term for 12 months. We are happy to consider applications from those on graduate / timed visas already residing the UK.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage small electrical compliance and improvement projects throughout their project lifecycle.
- Support project managers in the delivery of larger capex projects.
- Oversee the management of electrical systems, installations, and equipment to ensure they are maintained, inspected, and tested in accordance with current regulations and standards.
- Identify and coordinate any remedial works required to ensure compliance.
- Oversee the technical management of contractors to ensure they work to the required standards and meet the company's expectations.
- Conduct electrical safety audits and risk assessments.
- Provide technical expertise on electrical safety matters to business stakeholders.
- Support the training and upskilling of electrical apprentices and engineers.
- Assist the electrical duty holder in sustaining and enhancing the site electrical processes and procedures.
- Champion compliance of safety regulations, Quality standards and company policies.
- Support in managing and delivering agreed Capex budgets.
- Manage the contractual arrangements and service delivery of site hard services.
- Assist manufacturing engineers with electrical technical support as and when required.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Qualified electrical engineer with relevant certifications
- Recognized project management qualification
- At least 3 years’ experience in similar role
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of relevant regulations and standards – for example BS7631 wiring regulations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Sound analytical skills.
- Good organizational ability.
- Natural critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Able to work alone and as a collaborator, working to tight deadlines.
- Ability to effectively mentor and coach others in their development
