Electrical Construction Manager Data Centre Construction
£90,000 - £100,000 + Accommodation + Rotation + Living Allowance
Blyth, England, United Kingdom (On-Site)
We're recruiting for an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to join one of Europe's leading data centre contractors on a major hyperscale data centre project in Blyth, England.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of all Electrical construction activities on a flagship mission-critical project, managing site operations, subcontractors, programme delivery, quality, and health & safety from construction through to handover.
As Electrical Construction Manager, you will lead the delivery of electrical works on-site, coordinating with project management, engineering, design, commercial, and commissioning teams to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all Electrical construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead daily electrical site operations in coordination with the wider project team.
- Manage and coordinate electrical subcontractors, supervisors, and site teams.
- Ensure electrical works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Implement and maintain QA/QC processes in line with project specifications and client requirements.
- Coordinate project programmes with Project Managers, Planners, engineers, subcontractors, and design teams.
- Monitor subcontractor progress, manpower levels, productivity, and performance.
- Lead site meetings, engineering reviews, planning meetings, and handover meetings.
- Review electrical drawings, technical submittals, specifications, and construction information.
- Liaise with design teams to resolve technical queries, RFIs, and coordination issues.
- Ensure all electrical documentation, safety records, and project reports are maintained.
- Promote a strong Health & Safety culture across all electrical works.
- Support commercial teams with variations, progress tracking, and cost management.
- Prepare and issue progress reports to senior management and project stakeholders.
- Manage electrical snagging, testing, commissioning support, and final handover activities.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical, programme, and coordination challenges.

- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7+ years experience within electrical construction, with strong site management experience.
- Proven experience managing electrical packages on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and construction methodologies.
- Experience managing electrical subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, programme delivery, and quality management.
- Previous experience on Data Centre, Mission Critical, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, or Large-Scale Infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
