Lead the Delivery of a Landmark Infrastructure Project

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to join the team delivering one of the UK's most prestigious aviation infrastructure projects.

This role offers the opportunity to lead the electrical construction delivery of the £150 million M&E installation, commissioning and systems integration for a state-of-the-art baggage handling system at Heathrow Airport Terminal 2. This flagship programme will enhance one of the world's busiest airports, delivering cutting-edge technology and critical infrastructure that will serve millions of passengers each year.

The Role

As Senior Electrical Construction Manager, you will take ownership of the electrical construction works from installation through commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery is safe, efficient and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with project directors, engineers, subcontractors and the client team, you will play a pivotal role in driving programme performance and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all electrical construction activities across the project.
  • Manage subcontractors, supervisors and site teams.
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
  • Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning and systems integration activities.
  • Drive quality assurance and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Chair coordination and progress meetings with stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate construction risks and technical issues.
  • Monitor programme milestones and resource requirements.
  • Build strong working relationships with the client, consultants and project partners.
  • Champion best practice in health, safety and environmental performance.

About You

You'll be a proven construction leader with experience delivering large-scale electrical or MEP projects within highly regulated or mission-critical environments.

You'll ideally have experience in sectors such as:

  • Airports
  • Data centres
  • Rail
  • Major infrastructure
  • Industrial or manufacturing facilities
  • Automated logistics or baggage handling systems

You'll also have:

  • Extensive experience managing electrical construction on major projects.
  • Strong knowledge of installation, commissioning and electrical systems integration for LV / building services projects.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to motivate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong commercial and programme awareness.
  • Commitment to delivering the highest standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications:

  • HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (preferred).
  • SMSTS.
  • ECS/CSCS Card.
  • First Aid (desirable).
  • Full UK driving licence.
