Job Description

Job Title: Contract Manager - Electrical Testing

Location: Hertford (Hybrid)

Salary: £55,000-£65,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus

Job Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contract Manager - Electrical Testing to lead the delivery of electrical compliance programmes across domestic and communal social housing properties.

You will be responsible for managing Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) programmes, remedial works, and rewiring projects, ensuring contracts are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with client expectations. This role requires a strong leader with proven experience managing electrical testing contracts, driving operational performance, and maintaining the highest levels of compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of domestic and communal EICR programmes, including remedial and rewiring works.
  • Ensure contract KPIs, SLAs, compliance, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
  • Manage contract budgets, P&L, resource planning, and scheduling.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop supervisors, electricians, and support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with BS 7671, CDM 2015, and all Health & Safety legislation.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering an excellent resident experience.
  • Monitor contract performance and implement continuous improvements where required.

Requirements for the Contract Manager - Electrical Testing:

  • Proven experience managing EICR contracts within social housing or a regulated residential environment.
  • Approved Electrician qualification with City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of BS 7671, inspection & testing procedures, and EICR coding.
  • Previous experience managing teams, budgets, and client relationships.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
