Role Description
The Electrical Contracts Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in North Bristol. This role oversees electrical installation projects from tender through completion, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation. Typical responsibilities include:
- Managing contracts and client relationships
- Coordinating electricians and engineers
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget

The Electrical Contracts Manager will:

- Review technical specifications
- Prepare quotes and reports
- Monitor quality and compliance with relevant standards
- Resolve on-site issues
The role also involves working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to support continuous improvement and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in electrical contracting or project management, ideally within BEMS, or commercial/industrial electrical installations.
- Knowledge of UK electrical regulations, health and safety standards, and industry best practices for installation, testing, and inspection.
- Proficiency in contract administration, budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning for multiple concurrent projects.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead teams and collaborate with clients, suppliers, and site personnel.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and documentation, and provide clear guidance to engineering and installation teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality, safety, and risk management.
- Competence with standard office and project management software; familiarity with industry-specific systems is an advantage.
- Recognized electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) and/or degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within an electrical or engineering environment is highly desirable, also SMSTS training would be advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites, primarily within the South West and occasionally across the UK as needed.
